Any Princeton undergraduate, graduate student, or alumnus, who is interested in applying for admission to the Program in Teacher Preparation should make an appointment to meet with either the programís director or associate director (click Teacher Prep Contacts for contact information) to obtain detailed information about the requirements and to secure all application materials, including information on how to access the online application. To be considered for admission, undergraduates must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 at the time of application and a minimum GPA of 2.75 by the time they complete the program. (Graduate students must provide an undergraduate transcript showing a 2.75 GPA.)
All applicants are required to submit a letter of recommendation. This letter may come from a member of the University faculty or administration, from a former teacher, or from any professional who can attest to a studentís potential as a teacher.
It is recommended that undergraduates apply during either the freshman or sophomore year. However, in most cases, it is possible for a student to begin the program in the junior or senior year. Graduate students and alumni may apply to the program at any time.
